So How Much Do We Charge?
(It's what we get asked most...)

As of January 1, 2006 our standard fee is $250.00.
This covers any meetings or phone calls,
writing your personalized ceremony,
all travel within the Portland/Metro area,
the rehearsal and, of course, the ceremony.
Please note!
Even though we do not charge extra for the rehearsal,
they are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
(We try to be very fair!)

How much for outside
the Portland/Metro area?

We charge a flat rate of $50.00 extra for outside travel.
(Unless we need to stay overnight,
in which case we would charge actual costs.)
For instance, weddings in Gresham, Beaverton,
or Longview would be $250.00.
Weddings in Salem, Lincoln City or at
Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood would be $300.00

Do We Need Witnesses?

Both Oregon and Washington require two witnesses
to sign your license.
If you do not have any witnesses, we can
provide them for you at an additional
$20.00 charge.

Is counseling required?
(The second most asked question...)

I do not require counseling, instructions or tests.
If the couple asks for such, I may provide them myself
or suggest another place to obtain them.

Do we perform Commitment
or Same-Sex Ceremonies?

We have always offered Commitment Ceremonies
to any couple who wishes them.
And we will honor any state issued marriage license
regardless of the religious, ethnic, or social background of the couple.

In other words, Yes.

Do we charge extra for rehearsals?

No.
Rehearsals are, however, at my discretion.
While we try to accommodate everyone,
times do fill up quickly. Rehearsals are scheduled
on a first come, first served basis
and are usually a part of the agreement
with the couple.

What should we do first?

I usually will meet with the couple
for an approximate 1 hour visit.
At that time, you may feel free to ask any
questions you like.

You can call me at (360) 693-8562 to set up a meeting.
